ONE month!!!

Wow!
I just can not believe my little Deegan is already ONE MONTH old!!!
 Time really does fly by!
It feels like just yesterday my water broke and I was in the hospital in labor!
This month has been a blur.
It was filled with family and friends loving on our sweet little man, fun photo sessions, birth announcements, doctors appointments, lots of bottles, poopy diapers, crying, snuggles and cuddles and more.

We really are enjoying all the little moments with our sweet boy. I am still in awe and amazement that he is ours. I feel so lucky.
So blessed.
I am trying to remember to capture these little moments. Soak them all up. All the snuggles and cuddles because I know that they won't last forever and he may just be our only child. This may be the only chance we get to do each special moment. We may just have one first of everything. That is okay with us. We may be a little family of three so I really want to cherish each first as much as we can - without being those weird, clingy, overemotional parents, of course.

Speaking of firsts...today was Deegan's first month photo. He was not digging it or excited as much as we were about it. He was also in a bit of a "milk coma" at the moment. A little drunk on milk...his glazed over eyes and all.
What can I say, he likes his milk.

As you can see he eats good.
Can you tell?
See that double chin! I know he is already over 10lbs but I am curious to get a weight check on him to see what it is exactly. He is a happy, healthy boy and that makes me such a happy mama.

{Meet baby Deegan}

Meet baby Deegan.
He has made us a family of three.

He has changed our lives forever.
Ten fingers, ten toes.
Lots of hair, but hardly any eyebrows!
Loves milk.
Hiccups everyday.
Loves for daddy to read him books and loves snuggle time with mama.
Makes funny faces. Lots of smiles and pouts.
Current nicknames is "Mr. Poopy Pants".

I can't wait to get to know him.
I can't wait to see who he becomes.
What things he will be good at. What will make him laugh.
What traits he has naturally and what traits he gets from us.
I embrace all he is.
And all he will be because I know within my heart he will be amazing.

{a little about me}

Hi. I'm Michelle.
I am 30. I should just type 31 since my birthday is in less than a month.
I am happily married to my best friend.
He is my everything and we are finally a family of three.
It took us over 8 years, fertility drugs, a miscarriage. a failed IVF, and one amazing embryo adoption for us to have our little Deegan.
It was all worth it.
Every tear, every disappointment, every negative pregnancy test, every holiday wishing we had a little one to share it with, every thought of giving up and just not being able to, everything....it was all worth it because we have him now.

Every decision we made and step we took moving forward was leading us to him

because he was meant for us.
I truly believe we were just waiting for him and he was waiting for us.
This blog is about us. Our journey. Our life. Oh, and a little something called Embryo Adoption.
